From our office in Brussels we offer our customers in Belgium and the Netherlands advanced services in the field of renewable energy, smart networks, electricity trading and balancing of the electricity grid. In doing so, we support a large portfolio of electricity producers and consumers to exploit new opportunities in the rapidly changing energy market. We are a dynamic team in the Benelux with the support of more than 200 colleagues in our other European offices. As Energy Expert you join our team in Brussels working on electricity market data analysis, the connection of assets to our virtual power plant, settlement of flexibility activations and on product development. You will also manage or support our research projects. Depending on your knowledge and personal interest, your duties and responsibilities will evolve quickly.


• Analysis of the electricity and reserve power markets and their development 

• Support of the product development, e.g. by building and running models for business case assessments on these markets.

• Manage the integration of new assets into our Virtual Power Plant

• Management and/or support of EU projects

• Supervision, follow-up and settlement of activations of flexible assets on the power markets

• Account management, including outage handling of assets. 

• Exchange proactively with our technicians, traders and service team in Benelux and Germany. 


• You have a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (preferably natural sciences or engineering).

• You are like to work on different topics and have a generalist's mind-set.

• You have work experience in the energy sector, but we also welcome starters with a well-fitting profile!

• You show a high interest for renewables and the role of the electricity sector in the energy transition. 

• You are a hands-on proactive problem-solver. You are motivated and love to learn.

• You are comfortable with working by yourself and in team and you like to take on project responsibilities.

• You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French are a strong asset.
